The Vientianale Prizes were judged by an independent group of five jurors*

The United Nations in Lao P.D.R. would like to award the producer of The Calendar by Mr Thanavorakit Kounthawatphinyo as the winner of the United Nations in Lao P.D.R. award for Best Young Filmmaker ($US100)

with the Special Vientianale Environmental Achievement Award as part of the Short Film Competition of the 2nd Vientianale International Film Festival. This award is in special recognition of outstanding environmental awareness and comes with further support for the distribution of your film to a wider audience that will also be supported by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Lao P.D.R.

 

The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Lao P.D.R. would like to award the producer of “Yesterday is the Past, Today is the Future” by Miss. Phunlanee Phimmasan with the Special Vientianale Environmental Creativity Award as part of the Short Film Competition of the 2nd Vientianale International Film Festival. This award is in recognition of your outstanding creativity and the powerful messages emanating from your film addressing an issue of concern for each and everyone and carries a prize of $US100.
