2009 Festival...
The 1st International Film Festival in Laos will take place at the Lao-German House in Vientiane from May 8 until May 10, 2009. This initial festival wants to promote lao film and local film makers.
The festival will consist of three evenings full of international movies about the history of Laos, documentaries, art clips, feature films, music videos, dramas about lao, and those produced in Lao PDR. There will be An international short movie programme from a German film festival (Filmwinter Stuttgart) and documentaries from the former East & West Germany about life in the People's Democratic Republic of Lao will complete the programme.
